'I Am Wolf' book launch

Updated: Jun 19, 2020

'I Am Wolf' is my fourth published book, which I was proud to launch on Saturday 30th November 2019 at the Tea Tree Gully Library.

I had a great afternoon with family and friends. We all enjoyed a catch up over good food and wine, listened to my Dad play some of my poems written to music, and heard from some of my team who played an important part in creating this book.

The poems in 'I Am Wolf' are about me and what it is like to be me. My book portrays the good and bad days, the ups and downs of my unique life.

'The Wolf Call' is my trademark communication sound, which I make when I am happy, excited, and feeling well. Therefore, the book is titled 'I Am Wolf'.

I have so many people to thank in Team Oliver, who helped me to get through the year and complete this book.

I would like to thank Arts SA and the Richard Llewellyn Deaf and Disability Arts Trust for providing a grant so that I could complete this project. Thank you to my family - Mum, Dad, Nick and Papa, who give me their unwavering support and encourage me to pursue my dream.

Thank you to Sharon Kernot, my poetry mentor, who assisted me with compiling end editing my poems. Gary MacRae for his publishing expertise. Shannon Lott for her photography of the front cover image and artworks for the book. Janelle Sampson, my speech pathologist, who started me on my journey of writing. Hans Kreiner for his assistance in creating the artworks in my book. And everyone else in Team Oliver, there are too many to name, but you know who you all are. I couldn't have done any of this without you.

And finally, thank you to all of my friends, to whom this book is dedicated.
